These guidelines pertain to how we will distribute the Dynamis Lord only drops, Shadow Mantle and Shadow Ring. Given the relative rarity of these drops, these will be handled separately from the normal lotting system.

Who can lot? In the past these items have been prioritized to our LS tanking jobs: Paladins and Ninjas. As we have grown in our success, more and more Shadow items have been obtained to the point where Shadow items are now open for anyone to obtain. It is important to note however that these items are generally more useful to the LS on our tanking jobs, and as such members who use these jobs in LoO dynamis will likely receive more consideration than other members from a simple standpoint of practicality. Also, please consider that while anyone may apply to receive Shadow items, like anything else just because you CAN do a thing doesn't mean you SHOULD. Please be considerate and think whether you will actually get use out of the item before asking for one.

To apply for a Shadow Item consideration: Please make a post under the "Official Roster and AF2/Flags Information" forum just like you would for a lot change. Please specify which item you would like to obtain (members may only be considered for one item at a time). Treat that post much like an application: State which item you want, how you plan to use it, and why you believe you are deserving of consideration. At the end of the month the sacks will discuss each application and decide whether or not to put you on the list. This discussion will focus on the following areas: tenure in the LS, contribution, attitude, jobs, and any additional information from your application you asked we consider. If the answer is no, a sackholder (usually Andrinor) will discuss with you individually what areas we believe you need to improve in order to resubmit your application. If the answer is yes, you will be placed on the shadow item list under Tier 2.

How items will be distributed: We will keep two tiers for each item, Tier 1 and Tier 2. If an item drops for which you are Tier 1 and you are eligible to lot in the Northlands that month, you may lot that item freely. If no Tier 1 eligible members are present, then members in Tier 2 may lot. As with other drops in the Northlands, if you are Tier 1 but ineligible to lot, you will lot with the others in Tier 2.

I'd like to remind everyone that, in the instance where Dynamis Lord drops a 100-piece currency, ALL members in attendance that are not lotting on a Shadow Item may lot on the 100-piece currency. There is to be ONE LOT ONLY, meaning, if you lot the Shadow Mantle, but you lose, you're done. You won't be permitted to lot on the 100-piece currency.

How Tiers work: In the past it was the subjective discretion of the person in charge of Shadow Items who would be in which tier. From this point forward, Tiers will be determined by how long you have been waiting on the list. When a new applicant is put on the list they will automatically be in Tier 2. When Tier 1 empties and all members have received their items, we will move members up from Tier 2 to Tier 1 based on when they were added to the list. As we see it, you are either worthy of a shadow item or you are not. You either have been waiting longer than others or you haven't. This will eliminate the largely subjective nature of how Tiers were organized in the past.

I got my item, now I want the other one. What do I do? Once you have obtained your item (Yay!) if you wish to be considered for the other item, you may submit a new application for that item for consideration.

Finally, please remember Shadow Items are among the rarest drops we can obtain in Dynamis. The sacks retain the right to decide to remove you from the list should your conduct, attendance or attitude warrant it.
